We have Success

After almost 10 long months, Kalen has finally decided he can take a substitute to the breast. He started drinking formula from his sippy cup on Wednesday. He happily drinks from his sippy cup most of the day. I'm still breastfeeding 3-4 times a day, but much better than the 7-8 times a day. He actually seems to be happier as well. I'm not sure if he was just hungry all the time before or what the deal was. He's also started to play on his own and entertain himself; this is something that did not happen early last week, when I had to be in his eyesight every waking moment or he would go off on his crying spells. Needless to say, we are all doing much better.

My 1st Beach Outing

Here's Kalen playing on the beach for the first time. He had so much fun. I thought he would be afraid of the water, but he crawled right into it and laughed when the waves came and touched him. Of course, I never let him get to far into the water, it was always just deep enough for it to cover his hands a little.

Trip to WA

Me and Kalen has a great time in Washington. We did lots of visiting while we were there. First we saw Papa and Grammy Weddle and Kalen got to hang with his cousin Josi. Nicki brought over her two little girls to play with, Alex and Brittney. Then we hung out with Jamie and the old posse. Then we had to head back to Seattle for a surprise birthday party for Kelly. So
Kalen got to play with his other cousins Paige and Addi. Robbie stopped by with Brooklyn for a quick visit and then we were off to California again and Kalen got the whole seat to himself. He was sure happy to be back in the warm California weather, although he had a blast playing with all the girls. Maybe one day, there will be another boy for him to play with:)
