Florida Powderskate Tahoe Trip

Adam has been itching to get ride his powderskates this year and just in time the snow started falling in Tahoe right before Christmas. We left Satuarday morning with the car packed fully loaded and headed northward.

Little man was out before we even hit the freeway.


We could tell we were heading into some nice weather.


We stayed with some friends in Woodland which is right outside of Sacramento. It was a great visit and Kalen had a ball playing with Stella the 3 year old. They were instant friends - taking each other on different adventures. It almost made me want another one - almost.




Sunday morning we made the rest of the trip to South Lake Tahoe. We got stuck on top of the pass - but only because no one knows how to pull off the road the put their chains on. They all tried to pull over in the same spot - luckily we were in the Quatrro and it does great in the snow, so no need for chains for us. Finally we made it to our little tiny hotel room. But for $50 a night, we didn't compain. And they had a sweet double hot tub that wasn't too hot for Kalen to play in. OUr only compaint about our stay was that the walls were too thin at times - but it only lasted for one night, thank goodness.

Adam had a successful trip testing his powderskates and selling boards. He sold 2 to a guy that lives in Tahoe and then got a phone call from a guy in Colorado who wants one. The more people that see them, the more popular they will get, because once you ride one, you realize what you've been missing.

Kalen loved the snow and loved the gondola. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back - only next time we might have a portable DVD player to help keep Kalen entertained on that 9 hour drive home.

Kalen has decided he needs to wear his bike helmet inside as well. Actually it probably is a good idea, since he likes to fall so much:)

Furry Bro

After over a year, Buzzzz has come to the conclusion that this little person that came into his life is here for good. They have finally become friends. Although Buzzzz would still prefer that Kalen not touch him, but now he at least tolerates his presence. As you can see in the pictures, Buzzzz looks like he's saying "Uhggggg, how much longer do i have to pretend to follow this kid."

Say Hello to my Little Friend the Concrete

Kalen had a run in with the concrete tonight - he just took a nose dive right into it. He's such a tough guy, that he hardly cried but it sure left some marks on his face.

Happy Halloween - Ruff Ruff

Kalen's first time trick or treating. He had a great time. We went to Grandpa Flash's house first for his first trick or treat and he got to pick out his first candy. Then we visited of few of grandpa's neighbors and then came back home and he went to a few neighbors at our house. He loved the M&M's he got, now he thinks he needs them all the time.
