Kalen enjoyed his First Thanksgiving. We read the paper that morning, you can see him looking for some good deals for me:) Then we went over to the Great Grandparents and had dinner. It was a very relaxing weekend, we didn't do a whole lot.
Kalen is really turning into a little boy. He's just growing like a little weed. He really loves to roll over. He loves to grab for his toys and put them in his mouth. We went to the park and he loves the swing. He likes to put his hands in the sand too. Before we know it he's going to be off crawling or walking. It will be one of the two soon. He's also interested in food. He's grabbing at our plates or cries if i don't give him a drink of water out of the cup if I drink some water. We might be introducing food earlier than they say to do it.
As soon as he flips over, he starts to move his knees like he wants to crawl. He just can't figure out how to lift his torso up yet. I'm sure he'll be doing it soon:)
I just can't believe how much Kalen has grown. He's able to pull himself up to a standing position, he holds his head up really well and he's just about able to sit up by himself. He's also trying to rollover, now i can't take my eyes off of him. He also has a new trick, he puts both his hands in his mouth at the same time and he's actually pretty good at it:) Kalen took his first airplane flight this past week and did really well. The pressure going up and coming down bothered him, so he got a little fussy, but overall it was really good. We also drove over to Port Angeles where we just bought a house to check out. I included a few pictures of the house and the view, the trail is what is below our house.
Beth's wedding was super fun, Kalen stayed up until 11pm partying it up. Now we are trying to get back to our normal schedule - Kalen is a little trooper. We found out that he's allergic to all dairy products while we were on vacation, which was not fun for any of us, but he's doing much better now and is back to being a happy little baby most of the time.
Kalen went to see Jack Johnson and Toots and the Maytals yesterday. He did pretty good for his first concert, he was jamming out most of the concert with only a few breaks for a nap and eating. He's really growing fast. He can hold his head up by himself and he's starting to grab at things. He had his first night out in LA on Friday night. We saw a bunch of our friends that came to town so that was fun. Kalen wasn't to sure about sleeping in another house, he kept waking up and crying, so I finally just had to lay down with him and then he slept almost the entire night. We only have one week left until we fly up to Washington and hopefully we will get to see the rest of the family.
It's been a wonderful week. We had all the Bennett's in town this past week for Grandma Bennett's Memorial Reunion. We hung out at the Beach House all week; soaking up the sun and enjoying the view. Kalen has been hanging out with his cousins. He's been enjoying having other people hold him, besides just his mom. We also had a little wedding shower for Beth and Michael; they will be getting married in a couple weeks. We'll be heading up to Seattle for the wedding, which will be interesting since it will be Kalen's first travel experience.
